You're right Sam, worth an Epilogue from Lady B's perspective.

Thanks so much to Sam for introducing me to a lovely new game, and for allowing me to make some friends in the process. Thanks to all the players for consistently excellent storytelling, particularly Paul whose contributions I thoroughly enjoyed. Sam and Paul, see you in the Verse. All Father, it was a pleasure, sir.

Awesome stuff.

Now we just need a pithy final word from Naomi to wrap things up nicely

Yes, thank you, Sam for taking us under your wing (I'd never have known that RPGs could be so much more than "I swing my greatsword," otherwise), and thanks to Robbie for stepping so gracefully into the titular character and seeing it through to the end. Thanks for sticking with it too, Sean; the Snargle/Naomi relationship was fun to play off of (and something I never anticipated). Very enjoyable all around, both to write for and to read.

That last roll was a nail-biter! Thankfully I still had most of my pool dice from the Lucky Break secret. I did leave something unsaid with Snargle's parting gift to Naomi; out of curiosity, did anyone catch what that was?

At a guess, I would say the newly acquired locket with your photograph in?

And thanks for the tip of the hat for bringing you into this sort of RPG. To quote from Alladin (Disney) "It's a whole new world...."

That would be a very good guess! Yes, that's what I'd intended.

Oh, now I'm going to have that song in my head! cry

ALSO: it was very tempting to have Flint say, "Elisha, dearest booty," but I thought "treasure" was more appropriate for tone. laugh

No! Seriously, can you imagine Snargle with a romantic little locket? With his own mug inside?
He might be a romantic, but I can't see it.

So, it's a lockable locket! And when Naomi works out the combination, en I'll reveal to you all what is inside. Until then, it's Schroder's Cat, and it's in Naomi's possessive care.

So, is this the end of 'Book One'?

Are we intending to begin, with the same characters, 'Book 2', in which circumstance (maybe years later) brings them all together again?

Or is it the 'Season 1' cliffhanger? With Season 2 picking up directly (or almost directly) where Season 1 left off?

Does Paul take over Flint, the goblin engineer, the Clockwork Man? And we explore the other side of the Black Hole? Or do those aboard the Sphere arrest it's decent, and return to their world above? Maybe, the story continues after they return to Haven ... and find Snarlge there also for a teary reunion???

I think the idea was that we would recruit other players to fill the remaining three spots, and Paul may switch to GM the next book once he'd sketched out a few ideas. Correct me if I'm wrong, Paul?

I hadn't had any thought on when we'd do this. Does anyone else?

Robbie's pretty much on target. I'd like to have a proper campaign written up (similar to the Lady B one) with character sheets, introduction, encounter guidlines for the GM and such. Right now I'm selecting traits, keys and secrets, and I have a few ideas for encounters. So it's maybe one third to halfway done, from an organizational standpoint. Maybe we can consider this a playtest… how ready are people to jump back in (for those who'd like to play again)?

Okay, I have an OOC thread up for the new game. I know Robbie is interested; Sam, Sean, you guys still in? I just need to know so I can put out a call for the remaining players. From here on we can continue discussion here:

Don't be put off by the lack of interest, August is a slow time for PbF. Might be a good idea to re-post in a few weeks, see if we can shake some people loose.

And be prepared to run with who you have. Better to play with 3, than loose all waiting for a fourth.

I'm not going anywhere. Now, six months, I'll still want to play.
