Beginning in 2014 we saw a huge effort by many RPG Geek denizens to participate in the Play 5 New to You RPGs challenge. We took this idea and turned it on its head for the fifth year in a row! Once again, I challenge you to run or facilitate 5 RPGs you have never run before.

Yes, you heard me, get out there and this time you get to be the gamemaster! We encourage folks to look first at their game shelves and hard drives for games they already own. If by chance you decide to buy a new book or PDF, don't let it collect dust, run it! This challenge serves several purposes. First, it serves to bring gamers together! Second, it helps us all get games played that might otherwise just sit, unloved and abandoned. Third, it encourages us all to run or facilitate games instead of just being a player and hopefully this will open up even more opportunities for us all to game. Lastly, it encourages community involvement and growth!

There will be exclusive microbadges! (currently being designed)
- For all participants
- For those that run 10 new games
- For those that run 20 new games
- For those that run 30 new games

For all the rules and official details, please visit 2019 RPGG GM Challenge - Run 5 Games You Have Never Run!

Hope to see even more participation this year! Let the good times roll!

So what should we post here exactly ?

The games as soon as they start ?

New to this system, I should be starting a Traveller (Mongoose 2nd Edition) scenario in January 2019.

This is the announcement post. On the challenge geeklist, you should post an entry to take the challenge and record your games there once you have run a session of a "new to you" game. The rules explain how credit is given for PbF games. I hope that answers your question.

OK, so I understand that, here, we are not required to post anything.

Hmm. Tempting, but I really hope to get at least one of the 'games I have never run' played before the end of 2018.

We need a challenge for 'play some old games that you haven't used in a long time'.

Man, I suck at this one. I'm not sure if I ever succeeded, but it's always fun to try...

I can think of three already...

Keep at it!

Your badges show that you completed the challenge in 2015, its first year.
