Ozgg's AoO

"You no escape Ozgg!" he screams leaping after the fleeing harpy with sword and teeth.

Just to be clear it was the harpy who went back on to the pillar that incurred the AoO. The fleeing harpy withdrew and did not draw an AoO.

Oh, and you can only make a single attack as an AoO not a full round attack, so no biting!

The harpy manages to evade Ozzg's swing and manages to get back to the top of the pillar unharmed.

Milo grunts violently as he is let free of the song. Hissing he swirls around, surveying the situation and pulls on the powers of his chosen profession. "Hark! There are foul beasts afoot. A-wing! Whatever. Stand fast. STAND FAST! Lest we succumb to their vile spells again." his voice bellows.

Umm. Countersong for one round, trying to break out Endo and Mojo and/or protect the gang from being captivated again.

Milo needs to make a perform (oratory) check as part of Countersong against the DC16 of the harpy's captivating song. If Milo makes this check then all those under the effects of the song will be released.

Also, it will mean those who were under the effects of the other harpy won't need to make a save against this harpy's song. If he fails then everyone except Ozzg who is already captivated will need to make another WILL save. Ozzg, having already made his save against this harpy is now immune to her song.

Those already under the thrall of the harpy's sadly sweet song don't even seem to register that Milo was speaking at all. The harpy continues her song, trying to recapture the recently released victims of her departed companion.

WILL (DC16)
Hiram 1d20+1 = (6) + 1 = 7
Indo 1d20+5 = (14) + 5 = 19
Milo 1d20+4 = (12) + 4 = 16
Tinma 1d20+4 = (8) + 4 = 12

Luckily the bard as well as Indo managed to keep their minds on the job this time and don't get caught up in the harpy's performance.

Milo can use his countersong again next turn if he wants to try again to free the others. Milo and Indo are now immune to the song along with Ozzg.

Ozzg's javelin flies over the harpy's head. The creature doesn't miss a beat of her song. Not impressed with Milo's attempts to steal some of her audience, the birdlady swoops down and takes a swing at the bard.

Take a hack at the hack: 1d20+8 = (9) + 8 = 17

Milo has the presence of mind to duck under her weapon as the morningstar swings over his head. The harpy swoops back up to her perch on top of the pillar.

Milo takes his bow and lines up a shot at the remaining harpy. He screams in frustration to try and snap out his friends from the trance. "Pathfinders! Rally! Follow the example of his royal highness and strike at our foes! Do not walk gently into the awful night! Rage. Rage!"

Milo finally warms up to the task and proves he's a secret anti-harpy weapon once he gets going.

His speech finally snaps all of the group out of their trance, causing the harpy to snarl in annoyance. Her mood is soured even more as Milo's arrow pierces her wing.

Everyone except Milo is up!
