WOOHOO! We made it through the Entry Phase with only minor bumps and bruises -
and a bit of sleep-deprivation, for which this wallaboo is being sued by the
International Insomnia Clinic. Fortunately, this wallaboo's broke,
so what's the worst they can do?

Timeline
First deadline: Friday 15 November 2013
There are lots of games to read; however, there are fewer than last year. The voting period has been returned to 2 weeks, but there shouldn't be any problems. Just in case, I'll extend the above deadline if I think that I haven't received enough votes. If it's close to the deadline and you still need more time, let me know (by posting here) as that will affect my decision to extend the deadline.
Questions
Please ask any questions in this thread.
Voting
How will votes be counted? I am requesting that you choose just your top 4 designs this year. With this in mind: I will grant 4 points to your top vote, 3 points to your 2nd place vote, 2 points to your 3rd place vote, and 1 point to your 4th place vote. All 4 places will receive Geekgold.
400 for 1st Place
300 for 2nd Place
200 for 3rd Place
100 for 4th Place

NOTE: Please do not vote for the game cHAos as these votes will not be counted.
(I, the wallaboo, wish to remain broke by contest end, so that other wallaboos do not hunt me down for my superior wealth. In addition, as contest-holder, and vote counter, I am disqualified from participation in this contest. I would admittedly probably cheat to score last place anyhow.)

Reviews and Plays
While last year’s competition stated that there should be no reviews at all, until after the contest, this contest-holder believes firmly in the right to promotion. After all, we want votes, don’t we? However, with this in mind, I would like to install the following stipulations:
Any game reviewed may not be given any sort of ranking as above or below another game in this competition. You may NOT state, at this juncture, whether you have voted for any specific game. You may describe its functionality, but do not focus on any trait that may sway the vote. You may also record plays of a game designed in this competition with similar stipulations.
Before submitting any review, you must send a copy to its designer. (This should help to provide needed feedback to our designers as well.) When the designer gives the okay, you may submit the review. If you do not hear back from the designer, you may send your review after the contest deadline. If you are the designer, you may naturally skip this step.
(SUGGESTION: As the designer, you may wish to include details about where the idea came from, what you plan to do with the RPG in the future, etc. This would certainly make for an interesting read.)

Any review submitted must contain the following block of text:

Is there a zip file we can grab with all the files?

I thought I remembered one from last year but I could be remembering wrong.

Good luck everyone who entered! Will be getting through these over the next week myself.

I don't have the same tech available as Stelio did last year. If someone would like to create a zip file, it would definitely be appreciated. I also plan to create a geek-list where the files can be easily accessed.

Jason, does that include the character sheet from Five Xing? I also noticed that you have This is the Way the World Ends in the folder twice; both are the same file.

Well, I think it would be misleading to leave it out, as that is one thing a number of evaluators look for. I appreciate it, Jason.

So far, there have been only 7 voters; we still need voters.

(On top of that, one voter asked me to record his votes so that he can change things later. This is a practice which, I must say, I frown upon as it really throws the count up in the air.)

However, you may be surprised to note that with just 7 voters, I am currently able to tabulate the top 4 places with at least some degree of consistency.

(Not saying I want to see them change, but the more voters, the more accurate this polling system will be, so keep them coming.)

I'm one of the 7. It wasn't too hard to nail down a top 5, which sadly didn't include my own submission, but arranging the top 4 in order took a while.

I'm the annoying change guy although I have a good reason. We've now played a few of the games (and may play a few more) and so the playtest results may change my scores.

Cool, I wish I could have played them before voting.

So, which Princess won the Hunger Games?

I will tell you, what I told Scott; the only Disney Princess truly capable of winning in such a contest is Leia Organa-Solo.

Her force choke is to die for.

Expansion card. That's all I'm saying.

Oh and I just got my vote in! Some of those page counts were daunting but most went really quickly. And overall, I really enjoyed reading this batch. I don't mind that it was a bit smaller than prior years because there were some ideas that really jumped out at me, both mechanically and thematically.

Oh oh, I know the results of the playtest of my game

Regarding voting: I was shoved on Midnights last week, with no internet (cruel cruel world). I'm back on a normal shift this weeks so planning on getting my votes in.

Just voted, an enjoyable few hours reading.

I really admire all of those who entered who can write so much so clearly in so short a period of time.
