Robert Charles Bell (1917 - 2002) was a Canadian-born author and plastic surgeon who wrote several books on board games. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, he moved to England in 1928. He was also one of the 11 "principal sources" in David Parlett's Oxford History of Board Games. As of 2007, much of his extensive collection of games and game paraphernalia resides at the University of Durham.
Note: This is a different person than Robert Charles Bell (1806-1872), an engraver from Edinburgh, or Robert Clark Bell (1877-1964), one-time president of Thorp Spring Christian College and commonly known as R. C. Bell.
