Spielwelt, published by the Club für Fantasy- und Simulationsspiele e.V., was geared primarily toward a role-playing audience, although it also offered book and board game reviews. The magazine featured scenarios, reviews and commentary. The masthead featured some of the top names of the German gaming landscape, such as Ulrich Kiesow or Werner Fuchs.
Spielwelt is the successor to the periodical Mythos (twenty issues, 1978-1984), effectively just changing the name (and switching from A5 to A4) and continuing with issue 21 (Oct 1984) until 1992 with the last issue 48. After that, it was merged into the already existing Wunderwelten.
The main focus of this magazine is Midgard, but also has publications of AD&D, DSA, Traveller, Call of Cthulu. The magazine also has material about tabletop games and novel reviews.
