It is 8th Century China at the Festival of the Autumn Moon
Guests at the Hoo Family have been invited to gather in the Grand Hall at Hoo House on Hoo-Hung-Woo Islands. Hoo House is an elegant Chinese mansion and the summer home of the Hoo family. It is Autumn and a heavy mist clings to the islands and surrounds the house. The guests are gathered for an evening of reflection, poetry and feasting before drinking the ceremonial Cup of Wisdom. But soon the celebration gives way to dismay when murder is discovered and the guests must decide who amongst them has committed the crime.
