The next holiday is approaching and everyone in town is in quite a stage of frantic stress. Lamps must be decorated, the walks must be shoveled, invitations need mailing, and to do lists are getting longer. Cleanup from the last celebration still hasn't even been finished, and the preparations have slowed to a halt!
The holiday in question is End Year, the last holiday of the winter and the last of the year. Festivities are especially welcomed this year because it is a Supper year, and unlike a Breakfast year—which leaves little time for revelry—dwellers will be able to spend the entire day celebrating.
