Angel Leigh McCoy writes short fiction that pushes the boundaries of the imagination. Some call it speculative fiction, but her stories fall in two primary categories: horror and dark fantasy. She may look mild-mannered, but she doesn’t shy away from the blackest of subjects.
Recently, her fiction has appeared in the anthologies Ravens in the Library, Vile Things: Extreme Deviations of Horror, and Cobalt City Christmas. In addition, she has published stories in the print magazines Sinister Tales and Revenant Magazine.
During the day, she is a writer/game designer at ArenaNet, where she is part of a vast team effort to make the coolest MMORPG ever: Guild Wars 2.
At night, she serves as head editor at WilyWriters.com.
Over the years, she has designed tabletop roleplaying game characters, stories, and adventures for White Wolf, Wizards of the Coast, FASA, and Pinnacle Entertainment Group. She also worked for Microsoft Game Studios, writing articles as Xbox.com correspondent Wireless Angel. Xbox and gaming have always been near and dear to her heart.
Angel lives with a cat named Boo, in Seattle, where the long, dark winters feed her penchant for horror and dark fantasy.
