Paolo Barbieri is an Italian illustartor, working with success in publishing world for over 20 years.
He collaborated with the most important Italian and international publishing houses, having illustrated several best-sellers book covers by authors such as Michael Crichton, Ursula L. Guin, George R. R. Martin, Umberto Eco, Sergej Luk’Janenko, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Herbie Brennan, Cassandra Clare, Laura Gallego Garcia, Cecilia Randall, Alberto Angela, Wilbur Smith and many others writing excellences.
He has to his name Licia Troisi’s book covers and all those belonging to the “Mondo Emerso” serie edited by Panini Comics.
Mondadori, one of the most important Italian Publising Houses, chose him as author for two illustrated books based on Dante’s Inferno and The Apocalypse of John.
In 2011 he was the first Italian author to be Artist Guest of Honor at Lucca Comics & Games, with an anthological exibition set in the magnificent halls of Palazzo Ducale. Lucca Comics & Games is the most important italian expo for comics and Fantasy imagery, as well as the first in Europe an second in the world.
