From "About" on website:
I'm an illustrator and concept artist currently situated in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin with my lovely wife Emily (also an illustrator: E-Figart.com) and my five guinea pigs Momiji, Patty, Cedric, Rufio, and Frances.
I'll try not to be pretentious, but I'm an illustrator because I love telling stories and creating characters. I love creating the worlds these characters live in and I find it very fulfilling that others also enjoy the things I create. Ultimately, I want to tell meaningful stories that make a difference and influence people's lives. . . but for now I don't mind drawing aliens, monsters, and guys with cool looking swords!
Currently I work freelance as a concept artist and illustrator. Before going freelance (again) I was working at Raven Software in Madison, WI. Before I got my job at Raven, I made my living doing freelance fantasy art for Wizards of the Coast. And before that, I was doing product design at the Franklin Mint in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before that, I went to the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. . . aaaaaaannnnd before that I lived in Canton Michigan, and also Utica, Michigan... and I wanted to be a ninja and I had Superman underoos. . . and I liked Voltron. . .
I'm inspired by alot of things, but as far as artists... here's a list:
Yoshitoshi (Japanese ukiyo-e artist), J.C. Leyendecker, N.C. Wyeth, Arthur Rackham, Matt Faulkner, Kentarou Miura, Hiroaki Samura, Akira Kurosawa, George Lucas, Frank Frazetta, BROM, Katsuya Terada,Ralph McQuarrie, Ian McCaig, Katsuhiro Otomo, the Capcom artists, etc. ( I'll stop now). I'm also inspired by my colleagues and friends, and of course, probably the biggest influence on my life and art would be my wife Emily.
