2089: Le Jeu Du Tricentenaire is a French RPG published in issue 56 of the Jeux & Stratégie magazine. In this game, the characters are reenacting the French Revolution from 1789 in the year 2089. It mixes muskets and 18th century politics with laser pistols and androids.
Characters are defined by 4 attributes (Intelligence, Dexterity, Body and Appearance) which are rolled up with 2d6. Each attribute has three skills, with the skill value being based on the modified attribute values. The last statistic is a pool of health points.
For task resolution, the player rolls 2d6, 3d6 or 4d6 depending on the difficulty. If he scores his attribute/skill value or less he is successful.
The game itself divides the reenactment into six sequences that mix historic events with futuristic twists and turns.
