Role-Playing Game System with a strong low-fantasy focus written by a group of italian players, firstly published in 1993 under GNU Free Documentation License V. 1.1 and thus AVAILABLE FOR FREE ever since.
Since 2003 the core system, rules and main settings are available online within a self-mantained Wiki on the http://www.myst.it/ web portal which is now the most comprehensive resource base for the Role-Playing Game, the underlying ruleset/RPG system, a number of additional contents (maps, player sheets, spells/creatures book & more) and a number of available campaign settings. All these contents are organized undder the Myst Cyclopedia, a proprietary wiki system hosted and mantained by the game authors, players and enthusiasts with the help of the website staff.
The game features an unique 3d10 system ruleset which emphasizes role-playing and players interaction while granting a realistic, well-balanced and credible approach to combat and actions. Although the ruleset is specifically designed for low-fantasy scenarios, it can be used for any possible campaign setting including historical, high-fantasy, modern era, cyberpunk, SCI-FI and more.
With over 4.000 items in the official Wiki and more than 20 years of active development, playtesting sessions, ruleset updates and player-driven blogs, Myst is one of the most detailed and comprehensive free RPG systems available nowadays in Italy and worldwide.
