Some RPGs are mechanically meant to be played with a specific group size. The designers usually mention this in the rules, although they sometimes offer a workaround for different group sizes.

This list is for such games. Note that this is not about your personal preference regarding number of players, but mechanical designs. "Five players" includes the GM, if the game rules have a GM.

This list is sorted alphabetically, by title.

Geeklists for RPGs with a certain number of players:
Roleplaying Games for two players
2P RPG, games suitable for at least two players
RPG'ing with your wife-or games for two with no DM.
RPGs meant to be played with three players
RPGs meant to be played with four players
RPGs meant to be played with five players - this list

Author's description

Drama on the Lawn is a dramatic misconception of pseudo-Shakespearan role-playing for 5 players. Run-time is approximately 2-3 hours which includes an introduction to the style of game and possibly some preparatory exercises to get everyone familiarized with the mood and mindset (and the Shakespearean characters if necessary).

Drama on the Lawn is a jeepform style game about losing yourself in-character and the capital-D Drama that occurs within a vibrant, sexy, occasionally obsessive Shakespearan troupe.

This was an entry into the Game Chef competition 2011.

The Full Course of Love and Death, a quintology of games, was created by Mendel Schmiedekamp for the Game Chef 2006: Time competition. It is comprised of five short games, each for exactly five players, exploring themes of love and death, taking various perspectives.

The five games are in order:
Escape from Prince Charming
Someone to Love
The Marriage of Persephone
One More Hour
That Oh So Little Death

There's a set of five characters with a predesigned, strong web of relationships.

Publisher Blurb:
Love in the Time of Seið is a low-prep, quick playing story game. This game provides very strong situation and guidance. There are five tightly-interconnected characters, compelling locations and events, and everything you need to get to the good stuff immediately. In a Norse-themed fantasy kingdom on the brink of ruin, who will gain power and who will win love? What price will they pay, and what other plans does fate have in store?
