Tales from Ye Olde Arkham Arms

Beware the Margreve!

The Whateley clan has opened a portal to an alternate dimension horror (again). Somebody said Lavinia called it 'Dunwich' but I coulda sworn I heard 'sandwich.' Anyway, there are rumors of epoch-spanning gods rising from the Deep, dire wolves that howl the soul right out of you, even creatures from space. Whatever, she's always been crazy.

But what I know for sure, there is nothing more deadly in the Old Margreve than the massive black panther that stalks there...

It's another active week for RPG releases. I think we're seeing the effect of Summer con season...

    New releases at your FLGS

Here's a big one... Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes has been released by Wizards of the Coast for Dungeons & Dragons (5th Edition). (Source: Leisure Games)

New in print and PDF, Fate: Horror Toolkit is the latest Fate Core release from Evil Hat Productions. (Source: Leisure Games)

Fantasy Flight Games is in stores with Realms of Terrinoth for the relatively new Genesys. (Source: Leisure Games)

The new releases keep flowing from Modiphius Entertainment. This week it's Dark Eden Source Book and Dark Eden Campaign Book for Mutant Chronicles 3rd Edition Roleplaying Game. (Source: Leisure Games)

Last this week is an interesting book from Flying Buffalo, Inc. (FBI). T&T Adventures: Japan is a collection of English translated Tunnels & Trolls material from the Japanese magazine T&T Adventures. It includes "solitaire adventures, Gamemaster scenarios, FRPG Manga, and a special set of T&T mini-rules written by Ken St Andre especially for this product." (Source: Leisure Games)

    New PDF releases from DriveThru

Modiphius Entertainment has released A Star Beyond the Stars for Star Trek Adventures. Who's running this for Leonie?

Modern AGE Quickstart is now available from Green Ronin Publishing for the low price of $0.00.

Our own Brad J. Murray has released Elysium Flare for Fate Core (from VSCA Publishing). Congrats Brad!

I'm not going to pretend to "get" Pugmire, but for those that do, Pan's Guide for New Pioneers is now available from Onyx Path Publishing.

What did I miss? As usual, let me know in the comments.

    The Lucky Lockup Roundup

    Balmora Press, Vvardenfell

Things have been slow for a long time in Balmora. Yeah the ash is gone, but Khajiits still waddle like ducks, we have playdough for hair and flat noses on blockheads. We keep hearing about Skywind, a fresh look and new interest from outsiders, but our hopes wane...

We did finally have a little excitement last week.

A beer-swilling fighter/mage killed several Thieves' Guild members in search of "Ryuutamas" held by his "Ryuujin" or Dragon-Person. We don't know what the heck he is talking about and told him he was in the wrong plane. As he escaped the authorities, he insisted he would find his true 'honobono-ness' (whatever that means). If you see anyone fitting this description, please let House Hlaalu know. Here is a composite sketch:

Truth be told, we are most frightened that he will open up the plane from his world to ours and allow his familiar into RPGG:

Sorry for the delay. There haven't been many print releases, but PDFs sure blew up. Even I noticed...

    New releases at your FLGS

This Star Wars: Age of Rebellion supplement is now Fully Operational! It's brought to you by the Empire and Fantasy Flight Games. (Source: Leisure Games)

This one goes to 11. The Eleven Lights is a new adventure for HeroQuest Glorantha from Chaosium. (Source: Leisure Games)

    New PDF releases from DriveThru

Wizards of the Coast has re-released four Star Frontiers books on PDF: SFKH3: Face of the Enemy, SFKH4: The War Machine, SFAD5: Bugs in the System, and SFAD6: Dark Side of the Moon.

I recently returned home from a couple of weeks away. I was stunned to find Lars - or rather a Data Intelligence that looked like Lars - with a message: Catalyst Game Labs has released Toxic Alleys for Shadowrun (5th Edition). Before disappearing, he fried every electronic device in my house. Thanks Lars.

Pelgrane Press has released Fire & Faith for 13th Age.

DCC #096: The Tower of Faces is now available for Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game from Goodman Games.

Okay... I'm out of both gas and time. Let's do the rest list style:

Grimoire for Fate Core from Evil Hat Productions (Pay What You Want)
The Menace of the Serpent God a free quickstart for Amazing Adventures from Troll Lord Games
Petersen Games has two Pathfinder System Compatible Product releases: Silence from Sommerisk and Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos
Torchbearer Sagas: Lots o' Loot for Torchbearer (2013) from Memento Mori Theatricks
Book of Freeholds (C20) for Changeling: The Dreaming from Onyx Path Publishing
The Tomb of Mercy for 5e Game System Product (D&D 5th Edition Compatible) from Kobold Press

I probably still missed something, so let us know in the comments.

carries a geekgold mini-manufacturing unit on his person at all times.
A reward of 10,000 Galactic Credits will be issued to the bounty hunter that can procure this legendary item. What you do with Jonas is up to the procurer (just don't tell him I said that).

    Remember, Jabba is watching you.

    The Riddler

You can feel me, but you can't hold me.
You can be pierced by me, but you don't bleed from my wounds.
Many seek to keep me, but I cannot be caged.

First correct answer gets 5 (hopefully from Jasri's artifact)

    Happy Birthday Hein!

Poking around on his profile page, I was intrigued about the game that he designed for the 2015 24-hour RPG Contest here on the site: Miasma.

    From the intro:

    Quote:
Miasma is a game where you play a samurai, infected by a dark miasma that has held the Imperial Capital in its grip for centuries. In this game, you will wage desperate battles against the monsters that appeared in the wake of the miasma. To stop the monsters from overtaking all of the land, you will become a monster yourself, and commit your body and soul to the fight.

Sounds very intriguing! Happy birthday, glad you were born!
