Warhammer 40,000, also know as "Warhammer 40K" or simply "40K", is a science fiction universe based on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniatures wargame publish by Games Workshop. It is a setting typified by medieval/gothic themes juxtaposed with far future technology where there is constant war between the Imperium of Man (Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle), the Forces of Chaos (Chaos Space Marines, Chaos Daemons), and hostile alien races (Orks, Eldar, Tau, Tyranid, Necrons).
