I understand the rules for the 2-6 editions are so similar that they need not be separated. But as an annal retentive OCD type I'm still looking for a way to list the books by edition in my personal collection. Is there a location in which I can find a list already made?
Thanks for any assistance.

I'd go by publication date of the various core books. Compare the publication dates of your supplements to the dates the core books were published and slot appropriately.

The books are written so that they work with the previous editions, therefore they don't belong to any one edition in particular. So, it seems to me that you're grouping them into non-existent categories.

Maybe old catalogs or release schedules could help with the tricky parts?

If you have any that you're not sure about, post 'em here or geekmail me. I should be able to assist.
Another option would be to order them by product number, but soe reprints might screw them up.

I appreciate the answers. I've decided to break them down by setting instead. Other RPGs are by edition first then setting, but I'll just uses settings here.

No different than books with multiple editions in other RPGs. Just place them into the earliest setting, (in this case alphabetically), they are part of.

That's how mine are organized. Core books first, then setting agnostic and multi-setting books, then the individual settings.

I just smush them all together. No, actually, they're more sorted by box or binding type, and by whether I've reviewed them or not.
