Did they (FFG) ever sort out the initial issues people had with the main base game only supporting like 2-3 player due to lack of components? Did they ever release a product(s) that addressed this so players wouldn't have to buy the whole core box-set themselves?

Just curious. Thanks for any info from those who might know.

Mostly, yes. The Adventurer's toolkit has enough to add an extra player. Any more than 1 additional player though and other ability cards can start to get scarce. If that's the case, a player can get a Player's guide and Player's vault and be good to go for the most part.

The Core Set has enough components for 3 players, while the Adventurer's Toolkit adds enough for one more player.

You can also use the Player's Guide to support as many players as you need. There are some useful player-created handouts that cover the action cards needed.

IOW, you only need the Core and Adventurer's Kit if you want the components and have more than 3 players (4 total, counting the GM).

P.S. The Adventurer's Toolkit was one of the first things released for the game.

Picking up the Player's Vault adds enough cards for 3 more players. It will also give you duplicates of all of the cards from the core set which can be useful so that players can take the same Talents, Careers, etc.

You can also download a pdf of the basic action cards from the FFG website (http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm...)

good point Anthony, I guess that's a downside on WFRP 3rd edition. Offcourse you can't blame the capitalistic vision of your country, sell sell more
