Moving this over as requested to a separate thread from the character sheets discussion page.

First, yes. DCU is Free-To-Play all the way through to max level 30 which is the game's current level cap. They restrict your free account to 2 slots for character creation and restrict your slots in inventory and ability to mail items and receive items in the mail from friends. They also restrict your on hand cash to 1500. The excess is dumped into an "escrow" account that you can PVP your ass off to get back out or pay to have removed.

It costs 5.00 in steam cash or 500 in game station cash (which is 5.00) to unlock premium level which is 6 character slots, double the inventory, on hand cash of 2000 and can now mail and receive mail.

Legendary status is still a subscription service which unlocks any DLC they release for free and takes the handcuffs off the other stuff too. I believe it's 10 a month and you get 12 slots for that one.

For THIS game, however, two options:

Option 1: Download that sucker and tinker around with the character creation. Use F9 to take the screen shot without the HUD in the picture (as demonstrated on the other thread). F12 will leave the HUD in the frame and is Steam's photo grabber. It's free to do that outside of the time spent on the download. Why not right? If you got the space and the machine to run it on.

Option 2: This thread will serve as a upload spot for character shots that those of us that do already have the game can make up. That way the thread here can be used as a grab bag of screen shots of characters. Irish can even use 'em as the bad guys from time to time if one strikes his fancy.

Thoughts on that? Would that work?

JK
