Not having read any of these two, I can't really give my opinion. But I have heared that all stories are a variation on the same two types of stories. Stories about me, and stories not about me.

Having done a cursory read of Witch Song, and knowing NOTHING about The Pig, the Witch and her Lover, I could only make a completely uninformed judgement.
But I love that this question has tossed this adventure to the top of the Hotness.
