Hello there!
I'm running the Enemy Within Campaign and my adventurers have just discovered the hidden demon ritual place in the sewers, in the merry city of Bogenhaffen!
I'm planning that after the events of Shadows over Bogenhaffen, they'll be meeting with Wood Elves. Now, the core 2ed book doesn't give much information about them, and I don't really like the apocalypse-like setting they've created (I prefer the Old Wold, Chaos Cold War, that you could find in the 1st ed), so do you have any information concerning the Wood Elves, their culture, magic, traditions, and so on?

Are you looking for the current Warhammer take on Wood Elves, or how they were back in the era when Shadows Over Bogenhafen was written? They've changed a bit since then. There's an article about the Elves of the Laurelorn forest in the Articles section of MadAlfred's website: http://www.madalfred.darcore.net/

I'd prefer the setting "as it was", not really comfortable with some the changes in the new edition. In particular I'm not fond of all the knightly virtuosity of Bretonnia...

Warhammer Fantasy Battles Wood Elves is the go-to resource for fluff. 7th edition is good.

Depends on how much GW have decided to change them from the old days.
If you are going for a WFRP 1e feel then I doubt the 7th edition of the WFB Wood Elves book would be entirely suitable.
