Full stops at the end of wiki links | RPG

On the wiki, the following formatting doesn't work:

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derby_County_F.C. Derby County]

This should produce a link like this:

Derby County

However, the full stop at the end of the link appears to break it. I've managed to work around it for now due to Wikipedia's link redirection. Seen on the wiki page attached to this microbadge:

Having parenthesis in the url also screws up the wiki links; don't know if there's anything to be done about that.

that looks right

descriptions and wiki fields use Wiki Formatting

not Forum Formatting

for the parenthesis problem see the codes list in Wiki Formatting

Wikipedia links also should not have the trailing "/" character as the page will not load properly from the wiki link.

I fixed it by using the ASCII code %2E instead of . at the end of the URL. However, I imagine others may not realise this can be used as a solution.
