I'm looking to introduce the latest edition of WFRP to my group. We're pretty large - 6 + GM. Since it'll be my first crack at the system too, a prewritten scenario would help me learn the game. Can anyone recommend any good scenarios that meet the following criteria:
A) balanced for a large party of adventurers, either by design or by providing appropriate scaling information. (As a GM, one of the hardest things I find about picking up a new system is determining what is an appropriate challenge for the group).
B) showcases the new system to the players by providing a variety of encounters to highlight different character abilities and game mechanics.
C) showcases the system to the GM, providing examples of how to work the mechanics into a fun game.
D) has that Old World feel.
E) is fun!
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback.

Wow, I'm facing exactly the same situation in a couple of weeks.

I plan to play the Witch's Song, but as a run-up I will use the Delivery and the Haunting episodes from the GM's Toolkit; The Delivery to get them to Marienburg, and the Haunting as an encounter on the way. I'll probably throw a couple of Beastmen at them on the way too.
I have no idea if it's balanced, but the Beastmen are the only things that will probably feature in the first session. We need to finish up character creation, after some initial setup I've been doing using the most excellent Epic Words.
I need to think about how to keep everyone involved, and give each one a chance to do some die-rolling and make some interesting decisions. Looking forward to it, but a bit nervous too.

I'm a new WHFRP GM too. I picked up one adventure, but I haven't looked through it yet, so I don't know how many PCs its really geared towards. I would assume that its geared towards 3-4, since that's where the core-set works.

6 Pc and a Gm is a lot and not easy to manage. Try Eye for an Eye out of the Game masters Guide. You have an enclosed surrounding with social interaction and some fights.
Good Luck

Also, check out the FFG Support page for WHFRP to get player-mats for the extra players since the Core-set only includes cards for the three.

I'd also recommend you run through some practice combats as the system takes some getting used to before you can begin to judge teh appropriateness of encounters; most especially as your party may consist of a rag tag bunch of untrained commoners or down on their luck academics, rather than hardened soldiers and swords for hire!

I have the component problem covered, and for the intro session I plan to make pregens so we don't spend a lot of time trying to make characters without understanding how they work.
Is there a repository of fan created scenarios anywhere?
