I wouldn't classify this as a bug per se. It's more missing functionality, or perhaps a case of me needing to be educated.

If I submit a correction to add a detail, such as a mechanic, genre, or setting, there's no way to deselect the detail if I picked the wrong one.

I can hit the back button and then reenter the correction module, but if I'd already typed in several other corrections, doing so can be a pain.

Example:

Bring up an RPG Item
Click on Corrections
Add History (Ancient)
Realize it should be History (Alternative)
Try to remove History (Ancient)

Support comes in many forms: community involvement, forum posts, submitting data, word-of-mouth advertising, financial donations... All of these are vital to this site, and you have my sincere thanks for participating in any of them.

You're right. This functionality is missing from the corrections form.

Another workaround (aside from resubmitting as you've already suggested) is to add a note in the admin comment box to tell the moderating admin to remove part of the submitted correction. (We can selectively edit the correction before accepting it, or can make other changes directly as required.)

I added a note to one of the more complex corrections I did today. Bob handled it expertly.

That's because it was Chad - I fear for the person whom you dislike that tries to do this... I can see it now "correction submitted" - *Bob hits delete key* POOF! No more correction! devil
