I always liked that the Empire is kind of a pseudo Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nation (Holy Romam Empire) and uses German names for their Characters. But it seems something went wrong (on purpose)
Many Characters bear names that for me as a German are simply ridicolous, and I also hat fun imagining English speakers using this names seriously without knowing what they meant. Some of them come straight out of a dictionary, I belief.
I give you some examples:
From Power Behind the Throne:
Dagmar Mitschuldige = Dagmar Accomplice (She is an accomplice, btw)
Fritz Schwanger = Fritz Pregnant (Fritz is a male name ...)
Petra Liebkosen = Petra Caress
Natasha Sinnlich = Natasha Sensual
Siegfried Prunkvoll = Siegfried Pompous
Hildegarde Zimperlich = Hildegarde Prude
From Heart of Chaos
Nikolas von Liebewelpen = Nikolas of nice puppies
Katrin Schneekette = Katrin Snowchain
Peter Zynismus = Peter Cynism
Joachim Hartwurst = Joachim hard cured sausage
Kostenlos Umlaut = gratis umlaut
Kurt Aufschnitt = Kurt cold cuts (The Chaos Cultist of whom they eat...)
From The Dying of the Light (I belief from memory, I don´t own this)
Zahnarzt = Dentist (An evil Daemon, of which only one tooth is visible)
and many, many more
you get the picture.
