White Dwarf

Launched in 1977 by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson as a Science Fiction and Fantasy Games Magazine, White Dwarf was predominantly a roleplaying magazine for many years. After around 140 issues (e.g. the last Advanced Dungeons and Dragons article appeared in issue 93), it became devoted solely to Games Workshop games, and the roleplaying content reduced in favour of miniatures games.

In its current incarnation, White Dwarf supports Games Workshop's three core wargames - Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Warhammer 40,000 and The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game. There is also very limited coverage of the company's catalog of Specialist Games.

RPGGeek has chosen to stop the continuous cataloging at issue #140. Beyond that, the issues will only be listed (and submissions accepted) if actual role playing material presented.
