The World of Darkness is a RPG setting that is created by White Wolf Studios.
The World of Darkness is a Gothic-Punk world. It is much like our own world, but much darker, a film noir environment. The world is darker, gloomier. There is more poverty, more oppresion, and there seem to be conspiracies around every corner. In this world, several supernatural beings exists, fighting there own battles while hiding their existence from the humans.
Several games exist within the World of Darkness, each focusing on one of these supernatural races, such as Werewolves, Vampires, Changelings and Wraiths.
Because of the complexity of the Old World of Darkness we have split these into two families - one for tabletop RPGs and the other for the Mind's Eye Theatre (LARP). The two Families are:
