Martin is a marketing writer by day and a small-press RPG publisher, award-winning author, and GMing blogger by night. He founded Engine Publishing in 2009, and has published two books to date: Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters and Masks: 1,000 Memorable NPCs for Any Roleplaying Game.
Martin has been a freelance writer for the RPG industry since 2004, with credits in print and PDF from Paizo Publishing, Goodman Games, and many other publishers. He also runs and contributes to the game mastering blog Gnome Stew, and from 2005-2007 he wrote the GMing blog Treasure Tables.
His work has won two ENnie Awards (Gnome Stew, Best Blog 2011 and 2010) and been nominated for two others: Treasure Tables (Best Fan Site, 2007) and Bits of the Wilderness: Into the Open (Best Electronic Book, 2006). Gnome Stew was also a finalist in the 2012 RPG Site of the Year awards. Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters was nominated for a Golden Geek Award for Best Supplement in 2010.
