Rodney Thompson (born March 8, 1980 in Chattanooga, Tennessee) is a game designer who is an ENnie Award and Origins Award-winning designer for Wizards of the Coast. Rodney was the lead designer/developer of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (Saga Edition), then a developer and designer on Dungeons & Dragons, and is the Tabletop Games Manager for Dungeons & Dragons R&D. Before joining Wizards of the Coast, Rodney was a freelance game designer with published credits for Green Ronin, Paizo, AEG, West End Games, and Zeitgeist Games, among others.

Rodney is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and currently resides in Seattle.
