Witch: The Road to Lindisfarne was my game of the con, and I wasn't alone in thinking this.
Witch is my mate Toad's game about five characters escorting a caged witch on her journey from London to the place of her burning on the holy island of Lindisfarne. On their journey the characters struggle with their pasts and wrestle with the rightness of their actions: is the young girl in the cage really a witch? It's loosely inspired by structured freeform games like Montsegur 1244 and Love in the Time of Seid. The game is GM-less.
I played the game twice at the con: once as just a player, and once as a player/facilitator. I had great fun in both games, burning the witch both times. Highly recommended.
Toad brought along 20 ashcan copies of the game, and sold all of 'em to folk enthused on the back of playing the game. He got a lot of feedback too, and so I expect a polished version of the game will be available early next year. Hurrah!
