I've amassed a smallish fortune of that I know I'll never get around to personally spending. What with the holiday season upon us and taking hold of me in a somewhat giving way, I have decided to embark on the...
Great Grinchy* GeekGold Giveaway!!
So here's the deal: I want to give you - yes, YOU - 50 ! Been wanting that avatar and maybe some MicroBadges? I'm more than willing and happy to donate to your cause.
The catch**?
You need to make some sort of contribution to the site. Probably the easiest way of doing this is to add a review or session report; really, what better way to get in on the action than talking about the games that bring us together? It doesn't need to be a novel, but it should be well thought out. Or, maybe enter that version of the game you really like that no one else has done yet; there's plenty that haven't been gotten to yet. The idea is that I want to give to folks that want to be part of the community, and giving yourself a bit of a voice is a good way of starting that.
Ideally this is geared toward newer users, but I'm not going to limit it to an arbitrary user join date or anything. If you think that you might benefit, make a contribution and I'll hook you up.
At the moment I've got about 5K in , so that means that I can make 100+ folks happy this holiday season.
So add the game you've made the contribution to to this GeekList and include a link to your contribution so that others might kick in too, should they so desire, and we'll be off!
*Couldn't think of another holiday-related "G" word. **Of course there's a catch.
[edit 12/18] I'll be wrapping this up on the 1st of the year (so that folks that get stuff for X-mas have a chance to contribute, too), so if you haven't taken advantage yet, now'd be the time.
[edit 12/27] Last call, folks.
[edit 1/1] Thanks to everyone that participated, and Happy New Year indeed!

I'm currently GMing a Pathfinder RPG play-by-post game here on the RPG Geek forums, utilising the new geek dice roller. Things are going just as well as I'd hoped, with people posting (more or less) daily. I'd certainly be tempted to run another game after this one finishes.
If that doesn't qualify, I've created a few geeklists, including this recent one: Glorious Excess

I made a Fiasco Playset Template in a .doc format. I saw that Jason Morningstar would send you the template they use with Adobe InDesign, but unfortunately, I lack that program. I figure a number of us do. So here's mine. As close to the actual format as I could get it (even 6x9 pages). Blank cover, boiler plate that only needs you to add your name and title. Even the instant set-up just needs you to plug in your favorite elements. I even sat down with every single Fiasco playset I own and made an excel spreadsheet to determine the most common thematic categories (hint: relationships rarely change all the way down, and the big six categories in needs and objects are also a fairly constant rotation of seven. Locations, I've observed, also tend to have thematic similarities). In simple, easy to use .doc format. If you have the fonts recommended in this thread, it looks even better.
If you want an idea for how it looks, take a look at the Cults of New England playset that I made using the template. (Well, not entirely true. I made Cults, and then removed all of the playset specific stuff to make a generic blank. Wish I would have thought to make it before the contest so more people could get use out of it...)
Enjoy!

My first real (adding to the database) contribution would be the entry for this game.
I had just noticed it missing from the SOCOM series whilst looking for something else.

Ok, I remember swinging by here earlier and passing on adding something because I have a large enough GG revenue stream to keep me content for quite a while. I came back, however, because I figure I can always use more GG, and with 50 float sitting around I'll probably be more generous in the tipping department.
I just finished submitting the last game for the All the New Kids are Doing It thread set up by

All in I figure I put up about 70-80 of the games on that list, which you can see if you look towards the end of the thread. The sad thing is that I don't know what to do with my VGG submitting time now. I'm like a dog that just caught a truck - I really wanted to finish the list, but now what do I chase? I figure I'll try a rollback to 2009 titles and see how that works.
PS. If you're wondering why I chose Gladiator Begins as my geeklist item, it's because it was the first game off Ncik's list that I submitted.

I designed for my own use a color orders sheet for the game 2 de Mayo. It's basically a scan of the orders sheet but I wanted them colorized red/blue for the Spanish/French, then I laminated them and I use wet erase markers to write the orders down each turn. This way I don't need to keep making copies of the orders sheets. As I said this was for my own use but even for a little game that's been out for awhile this file's had 34 downloads already.

Added the Danish RPG magazine Fønix, aswell as Saga (Danish), Tabu, Fafner Tidende, Den Sorte Dværg and Pseudo-Dragen. I've still got countless of old magazines laying around from the 80's, and they will be added eventually, along with the issues, publishers, authors, artists and articles.

While my "big" contribution in this (my first) year was creating logos for a good chunk of VGG's series list, uploading scans and creating a few game items, the one I'll put forward for the RPGG list is my Absolute Noob Review of 2010's D&D Starter Set. It was fun and intimidating writing something that would be seen by all of you!

Hi,
Here is my review of a little know game (that I got for christmas): http://boardgamegeek.com/article/6002361
Very good game for everyone, but still deep enough to be interesting for gamers. And with *wood* blocks . Oddly no one seems to notice it on BGG. In my view, it is better than Blokus (and cheaper ).
Merry Christmas and Happy new year!
