Welcome back!
A while ago, I started a competition to determine what mechanics we like best in our games. Settings don't matter, what we're voting for here is the rules sets. True, seperating the two can be challenging, but we're big geeks and geekettes and can try our best to remain objective.
The systems were seeded alphabetically, which will continue for this round because I like odd methods of seeding. To vote, simply thumb the entry whose mechanics you prefer.
Voting will be open for a week or so, till about July 20.

AD&D
VS
BESM
The hot favourite, up against Big Eyes Small Mouth, no slouch in the rules dept.

BESM
VS
AD&D
BESM has a fanbase to be sure, but will it prove to be a giant-killer here?

d20
VS
d20 OGL
A strange match to be sure - the original d20 engine vs the OGL that allowed others to edit it

d20 OGL
VS
d20
The OGL is a champion to many who disliked D&D 3rd ed, but loved games like Spycraft, d20 Modern and Conan

Diaspora
VS
Dogs in the Vineyard
RPGG's premier Scifi game against its most popular cowboy game - remember, setting means nothing here, it's all about functionality.

Dogs in the Vineyard
VS
Diaspora
Dogs is a mean customer, but the Diaspora juggernaut rolls pretty strong...

FATE
VS
Godlike
Two titanic reinventions of gaming collide here. FATE introduced the most commonly adapted ruleset in the business when it comes to narrative resolution.

Godlike
VS
FATE
Then again, Godlike gave us new ways to roll and look at a handful of d10s...

GURPS 3
VS
HKAT 2
GURPS has a numerical advantage here, but HKAT is a plucky customer that surprises anyone who gives it a shot.

HKAT 2
VS
GURPS 3
HKAT has a big job ahead of it, but its "get up and act" philosophy appeals to a lot of people.

Jadeclaw
VS
Mouse Guard
Battle of the Furries! Jadeclaw proved too strong for the Interlock (Cyberpunk) system last round, but MG was #1 for quite a while here...

Mouse Guard
VS
Jadeclaw
MG only just scraped through last round, beating WFRP1 by a single vote, but it showed very strongly in the earlier 'Favourite RPG' competition.

Paranoia
VS
Savage Worlds
Less of a system and more a mockery of one, Paranoia has a long history behind it which is helping it here.

Savage Worlds
VS
Paranoia
Savage Worlds offers a variety of die types and player options, making it a vibrant and exciting game to play, but is that enough?

Star Wars WEG
VS
Unknown Armies
The Granddaddy versus the upstart! Simplicity is the catchword of SWWEG, doing everything with a few d6.

Unknown Armies
VS

Unkown Armies is all about breaking the mold and encourages players to look away from the traditional limitations of magic.

Warhammer FRP 2
VS
Warhammer FRP 3
When wars collide! Second ed is definitive for many, but Third ed, with its many bits, is fast becoming a fan favourite.
