This is the monthly thrift and bargain finds list for RPGs.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted RPG's bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™ and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
Our GeekGuild: The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Be sure to bow before our King Minionhunter I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Krazygit I, EvilTimmy I and Blackwind I. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/193
I've always enjoyed Gothic horror, and the Van Richten Guides were some of the best 2nd AD&D Ravenloft reads out there. In particular, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and earlier stories such as Paracelsus' tale of his homonculus and other tales of golems and "created" life are some of my favorite stories and legends. Heck, I wrote and end-of-term paper on homonculi for my graduate course in Medieval and Early Modern Magic.

Found this little gem and its second volume
at the local Savers here in Reno. I looked for the others but they were not there. Maybe they will come out later this week as they put out other items. But I am glad to have these as I still play AD&D.

Wha..? Where am I?
Oh...I see. RPG Geek. Cool!
Well, while I'm here I'll post my thrift find.
Don't know if it's complete, but there's an awful lot of stuff in the box. I really don't know a lot about RPG games and there's no component list that I can see. Four instruction books, some maps and posters and a whole mess of mostly unpunched castle parts.
Looks like someone started putting it together, got as far as the lines of sharpened stakes and a few weapons, then quit.
And to wrap up my finds (maybe I should have entered them all as one item... doh nn; ), there's this copy of Path of the Just, a anthologies of stories for the Silver Age Sentinels roleplaying game. $2.50.
All of these (and a lot of back issues of Sonic) were found at B-Bop in Kansas City (the one by Zona Rosa, not the one down in Westport).
