Gaming in Greater Anchorage area, Alaska since 1978. Looking for Indy-willing RPG players in Eagle River (or willing to drive to Eagle River). Geekmail me if interested.
Yes, this really is what I looked like when I uploaded that avatar. Not that it's quite current anymore.

A one-session rpg built around the story of a ronin and a threatened village. Another one with no image-- found it hunting around. Based on the description, I'm going to have to see if I can find a copy.
Kindred of the East was White Wolf's Asian sub-line for Vampire: TM. This sourcebook has information on running historical games in that setting, including classic Japan.

including the adventures seems to clutter the list badly.

Do you think I should split the adventures off into a separate list?
Probably... but you should also delete the term "ancient" from the title... since only one game on the list meets the term... Blossoms are Falling.
The rest are feudal Japanese - Medieval/Shogunate.
Ancient Japan * Jōmon (BC10K-BC3000) * Yayoi (BC900-AD250) * Yamato-Kofun period (AD250-538) Classical Japan * Yamato-Asuka period (538-710) * Nara period (710-794) * Heian period (794-1185)
Feudal/Shogunate Japan (12th - 19th century) * Kamakura period (1185-1333) * Muromachi period (1336-1573) * Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1600) * Edo period (1603-1868)
Specifically, Bushido is set in the Shogunate period. L5R (and OA3) are set in a an analogue to the Shognate era, albeit one closer to Kamakura than Edo.
GURPS Japan is focussed upon the Shogunate, but does cover the Heian a bit.
Really, all these games are "Imperial Japan"... Yamato to Edo...

Thanks. I had forgotten that "Ancient Japan" was commonly used to refer to a fairly specific era. "Imperial Japan" should cover what I was going for a bit more thoroughly.
