These are the latest Pathfinder RPG headlines!

Mid-2012 product announcements
Over the last few days, Paizo have announced several products due for release in May and June 2012.

Following hot on the heels of the Bestiary Box announced last week, June 2012 will see the release of the Rise of the Runelords Pawn Collection. This collection of over a hundred pawns, in a similar style to those already seen in the Beginner Box, will support the release of the Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition hardcover. Unlike the previous releases, this product will not contain plastic bases, and is supplementary to the Bestiary Box.

Other products announced include:
Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path Face Cards (June 2012)
GameMastery Map Pack: Marketplace (June 2012)
Pathfinder Player Companion: Blood of Angels (June 2012)
GameMastery Buff Deck (May 2012)
Pathfinder Module: The Moonscar (May 2012)
Visions of WAR: The Art of Wayne Reynolds Hardcover (May 2012)

Hero Lab for the Pathfinder Beginner Box
Lone Wolf Development have released Hero Lab for the Pathfinder Beginner Box, a starter edition of their popular Hero Lab character creation software. This version is specifically designed to support the Pathfinder Beginner Box, and is absolutely free to download and use. The software is currently for Windows only, but a Mac version is in the works and due for release in early 2012.

Paizo Holiday Thank You
Paizo have wished their supporters Season's Greetings by issuing a promotional code for use in their online store. The code gives a 10% discount to anything other than subscriptions, preorders, backorders, and non-Paizo downloads, can be used on a single order per customer, and is valid until the end of January 2012. Perfectly timed for anyone wanting to pick up the new Bestiary 3.

You know, it kind of bugs me that these promo codes don't work on subscription products. What about us loyal customers who subscribe to all the lines in which we are interested? We're a captive audience, so we don't get a bonus....

Just like Paizo learns from WotC's mistakes, they also learn a tiny bit of their bad practices too. WotC has a penchant for not caring about the opinions of loyal customers and is forever striving to garner new blood.

If you subscribe to the Pathfinder Adventure Path line, you already get 30% off the cover price, free PDFs, and 15% off virtually everything else in the store (including other subscriptions). If you subscribe to the other lines, you get free PDFs. This is supposed to be a one-time bonus, not an opportunity to get a further 10% off forever (which is what it would be, if it applied to subscriptions).

Another thing: this 10% discount stacks with the 15% off you already get for being an Adventure Path subscriber.

Personally, I'm going to use it to pick up a few Paizo PDFs, like the Bestiary 3, and some of the Pathfinder Society Scenarios like the Citadel of Flame and Tide of Morning. cool

Oh yes, I know! I didn't mean that one should be able to purchase a subscription with the discount. But I would like to be able to apply it to my subscription order this month. It's those subscriptions that keep Paizo going, after all, so it seems like any holiday bonus should be aimed toward subscribers.
